Origins

EDGE Architecture + Design Ltd was formed in 2005. The founding directors, Racheal Cadey and Julia Leckey studied together before pursuing alternative career paths in the design and construction industry.

Their professional experience was dramatically different. Racheal renowned for being an all rounder, creative, strategic and realistic, became the youngest board director ever at international architectural practice KSS, whereas Julia attained directorship at global design agency Fitch, receiving accolades as one of the industry´s leading branding and creative professionals.

Together, their consistent mission has been to maintain a fresh thinking, multi-disciplined, design and architectural practice; to combine high level creative thinking and design with a pragmatic approach to delivery in order to ‘create engaging environments for people’ as the design company people want to work with and for.

This enthusiastic, dynamic but grounded relationship forms the backbone of everything EDGE is as a business today and opens the doors to talented people that want to push the boundaries of brand design and architecture.
